I don’t really know what to say, other than I have fallen in love with Canterbury and never want to leave.
First of all, I’d just like to apologise for how freaking long it’s taken me to write this particular blog post.
I’ve been looking for blutac (wall putty) for days, and finally found some at the Essentials shop near the house. I’m incredibly excited, because this means that I can put up my wall kit, and I’ll feel like this is actually my room.
Being in London was absolutely wonderful (which will be in the next post), but I’ll be honest: I did not expecting actually getting to London would be quite so terrible.
Twelve hours until I get in a car and drive to the airport.
I am so nervous I don’t know how I’m going to even eat dinner.
I think I’m actually starting to shake a little.
I was going to make another vlog before I leave, but I’ve encountered some technical difficulties: my SD card reader has spontaneously ceased function.
The first major computer malfunction in this computer’s entire life, and it has to be three days before I leave.
This isn’t really much of an update, but I have a new blog theme, which, I am proud to say, I coded all by myself! It still needs some tweaking, but after three days of eat-sleep-code, I think I’m okay with it.
Aaaanyhoo, I’m going to actually start posting things soon. Maybe.
I’ve got a place to live!!!!!!
I think that’s the biggest news update since I found out I was actually going.
I’ll be living in the Parkwood student village on campus in Bishopden Court. If you want my full address, you can message me, or send me an email. If by some miracle, you’re reading this and you’ll be living in Parkwood, too, I want to know who you are and be friends with you because of reasons, so message me or email me.
In other, less terrifyingly awesome news, I got my visa a while back (I said so in my video), and I’ve been keeping busy. I don’t know if there’s going to be some kind of sendoff for me (I’m not going to deal with trying to put that together), but if there will be, I’ll let you know.
All that’s really left is for me to pack my things and leave. I’m simultaneously very nervous and very excited.
It was like “You’ve been registered for all your modules” and I was like
And then I read the rest of the email and it was like “you have to drop one of your autumn modules” (so Creative Writing OR Semantics)
